26 Week Bumpdate
How far along? 26 1/2 weeks
Baby Size: A cucumber! About 15 inches and 2.2 lbs. (What to Expect app)
Feeling: Other than the cold I have been plagued with this week, I am feeling wonderful!
Sleep: Sleep? What sleep?
Miss Anything? I’m starting to miss my old clothes.
Movement: All the time! My doctor said he is VERY active.
Looking forward to: Our 4D ultrasound next week! I can’t wait to see my sweet boy!
Bump: If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably seen pictures of my growing belly. It’s definitely out there now!
Exercise: Still walking and swimming. I love to swim because it is so much cooler.
Nursery: The nursery is painted and the carpet is in! We ordered our furniture 2 weeks ago, but they said it would take 8 weeks to come in so we are just waiting on that. I promise I’ll post pics soon!
Doctor Visit: I went to the doctor last Thursday and had my glucose test done. Everything went great! His heartbeat was 140! I love hearing that sweet thump.
I can’t believe how fast this pregnancy has gone by! I’m only a week away from the third trimester! It’s nuts. I am getting so excited to see his sweet little face, but I’m also super nervous about the birth. Luckily my excitement outweighs my nervousness.

Bookworm Review: “Someday Someday, Maybe” by Lauren Graham
Someday Someday, Maybe by Lauren Graham
Ballantine Books, 2013
First Line: “Begin whenever you’re ready,” comes the voice from the back of the house.
Synopsis from Goodreads: Franny Banks is a struggling actress in New York City, with just six months left of the three year deadline she gave herself to succeed. But so far, all she has to show for her efforts is a single line in an ad for ugly Christmas sweaters and a degrading waitressing job. She lives in Brooklyn with two roommates-Jane, her best friend from college, and Dan, a sci-fi writer, who is very definitely not boyfriend material-and is struggling with her feelings for a suspiciously charming guy in her acting class, all while trying to find a hair-product cocktail that actually works.
Meanwhile, she dreams of doing “important” work, but only ever seems to get auditions for dishwashing liquid and peanut butter commercials. It’s hard to tell if she’ll run out of time or money first, but either way, failure would mean facing the fact that she has absolutely no skills to make it in the real world. Her father wants her to come home and teach, her agent won’t call her back, and her classmate Penelope, who seems supportive, might just turn out to be her toughest competition yet.
Someday, Someday, Maybe is a funny and charming debut about finding yourself, finding love, and, most difficult of all, finding an acting job.

Literary Junkies (July)
If you’ve been around my blog for a while, you know that I’m a member of the Literary Junkies Book Club! I absolutely love these girls! We read a book a month and discuss it as well as have these awesome link-ups. If you want more info or are interested in joining, feel free to contact Taylor or Leslie.
-I’m reading Ketchup is a Vegetable: And Other Lies Moms Tell Themselves by Robin O’ Bryant. It is absolutely hilarious. I giggle like a little girl every time I pick this up. Robin is so honest and open about her mommy experiences and I love it. Every mom/mother-to-be should read this.
-This is tough. I don’t remember the first. I’ve loved to read forever. My grandmother read fairy tales to me all the time when I was younger and I have been fascinated with my second world of books ever since then.
-I loved reading the Bride Quartet by Nora Roberts last year! You can check out my reviews on my bookshelf.
-Not that I can think of.
-Sadly, no. I am so far behind on my personal reading (and goal of 50 books this year), that I’m focused on catching up on that before the baby gets here.

eKoffee Makes My Taste Buds Happy
For those of you who read my blog (or have ever just looked at the title), you know that I am in love with coffee. One of the hardest things I have had to do since I got pregnant was give up coffee…or at least drink much, much less.

Meet Blake from One Eighty
Hey y’all! I feel like I blinked and it was July. Wow. I hope you all have a wonderful fourth of July with family and friends! I will be spending mine by the pool. 🙂
I have a special guest post for you today! Meet Blake who blogs at One Eighty! Be sure to stop by her blog and say hello!
***********************************************************
Hey! I’m Blake, and I blog at One Eighty. I am a 23 year old Texan who likes to have fun, go on adventures, and then share my stories with the world. My friends will tell you I’m loud, quirky, and random. And, well, I don’t disagree with them.
I’m a little sarcastic at times, like in this post where I (by the way, I’m currently single… very, very single) imagine what I’ll be doing with my life in 5 years.
Let the imagining begin:
I will be happily in love and married to some man who is happily, whole-heartedly in love with me.
My husband and I will live in a small house with two bedrooms and one bathroom. And we’ll have parties, and he’ll love to BBQ and I’ll love to make the drinks and appetizers and desserts. Our backyard will be small, but spectacular–with a surround sound system. And my husband and I will spend quality time sitting outside at night having deep conversations and listening to Texas country. And sometimes he’ll surprise me by asking me to dance in the grass. And sometimes I’ll surprise him by blasting techno and hip-hop and dancing like an absolute fool. And he’ll laugh at my enthusiasm and join in.
There will be fresh white roses on my dining room table at
After spending the first three years of marriage enjoying each other and traveling, my hubby and I will start having babies. While I’m 28, I’ll announce that I’m pregnant with TRIPLETS!
My husband and I will switch our second bedroom from an office to a nursery. I will spend hours
I will also spend too many hours reading Get Ready for Baby books. I will read chapters out loud to my husband while he tries to sleep. I will also make my husband watch baby shows on TLC, and I will get scared and intimidated, and he’ll laugh and tell me I’m fine.
Getting ready for the babies, my crazy hubby will have to sell his two-seater sports car. Although he’ll be sad to see his convertible go, he knows it’s all worth it. He’ll buy himself a family car. And as a surprise, I’ll buy him a new car accessory: three car seats!
After reading all those design magazines, I’ll decide it’s time to refresh the entire house. My husband won’t understand the need to repaint each room, including the laundry room, but he’ll chip in. I’ll come home from work with a case of his favorite beer and some paintbrushes. Once the painting is done, I’ll force ask him to go antique and garage sale shopping with me at 5:00 AM one random Saturday morning. He’ll be grumpy, but I’ll point to my belly and assert, “This, darling, is for our babies!!”
On regular days, I’ll come home from work and start laundry and maybe start some sort of dinner. My husband and I will eat and talk and talk and talk and then watch some tv. Or he’ll read a book while I’m watching TLC reality shows. Or I’ll read magazines or blog while he’s watching some car show. I’ll tell him my opinion about the things that happen on these reality shows, and he’ll pretend to care. He’ll tell me about the latest car gadget, and I’ll tell him something like, “oh just go buy it already.”
My husband and I will sometimes lie in bed tracing each other’s tattoos with our fingers. We’ll fantasize about tattoo designs. He’ll tell me about his latest idea, and I’ll be ecstatic and anxious to see it inked. Our families will think we’re crazy, but we’ll be excited to show them our newest additions each time.
My husband and I will spend some Sunday mornings strolling through memorial park with our puppy, Maxwell. We will also shoot hoops and have picnics. Some Saturdays we will wake up and decide to go on random road trips, spending the weekend in San Antonio, Gruene, Galveston, or Austin.
On Wednesday nights, my husband will have poker at our house with his guy friends. “Guys night in” he’ll call it. I’ll go out to eat with my girlfriends or family or stay upstairs in bed watching HGTV and TLC or putting together a scrapbook or working on the triplets’ room. I’ll go downstairs to get ice cream and pickles and my hubby will give me a kiss and grab my waist and politely ask if I can fetch them a few beers out of the fridge… “of course, hun!’ I will say as I waddle to the fridge.
Isn’t my future husband going to be a hottie?
