I’m a sucker for a good summer get-together! Especially when it involves a delicious weeknight dessert like s’mores! Do you want some good finger-lickin’ fun down south? Throw a s’mores party! It will be the best summer party around! Last weekend, I decided to get together with my family for a pool day and BBQ! I wanted to do something special for dessert because we are a family full of sweet teeth! We love our desserts.
What dessert says summer more than a s’more? We have a firepit, so I had my husband load it up in our SUV along with a few patriotic decorations (because I’m festive like that) and we ran to Walmart to grab our Hershey’s bars, Jet Puffed Marshmallows and Honey Maid Graham crackers to build the perfect s’mores.
Once we were in the store, I decided to throw in a few other ingredients into our shopping cart so that we could have several add-ons to choose from! I also got the clever idea to make a Caramel Macchiato spread for our s’mores. Seriously, the best idea I’ve had in a long time. Once we arrived at my parent’s house, I mixed up the Caramel Macchiato spread and let’s just say, you will want to lick the spoon!
Caramel Macchiato Spread Recipe:
Ingredients:
1 jar of Jet Puffed Marshmallow Cream
1 tbsp. of Maxwell House instant coffee
2 tsp. of Hershey’s Caramel Sauce
Directions:
Make the instant coffee (follow directions on the jar) and mix all ingredients together. Chill for 30 minutes in the refrigerator so it can firm and then serve.
This recipe is so quick and simple, but adds a wonderful flavor to an already delicious treat. I love to spread this on my traditional s’more. It is a huge crowd pleaser.
You don’t always have to make s’mores at a bonfire. You can make them over a firepit, or even a lit candle in your home! You can get really creative when it comes to this quick and easy summertime dessert. Because they are so easy to make, they really are the perfect treat for any day of the week.
After spending all day in the pool with the kids, we were ready to settle down next to the firepit. It was so much fun gathering around with my family and roasting our marshmallows. I love summer nights like these. We create such special memories and I will always treasure them.
